String theory : Moving closer to a theory of everything

Image credit : treehugger.com Introduction As our knowledge increases we tend to see that what is unknown is  also increasing and  as we study the four fundamental forces of nature, that is electromagnetic force, gravitational force, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force, we cannot say that these are the only forces of nature but our known fundamental forces of nature. Let’s get to 1600 where  William Gilbert stated that earth is also a giant magnet and that is the reason the magnets point towards the north-south direction(geomagnetic north and south poles). In the 1800s Hans Christian oersted and Michael Faraday found out the relationship between electricity and magnetism, we get that these two forces are the same known as electromagnetic force. And there was the Newton’s law of gravitation but after Einstein found out in the year 1905 (known as his year of miracles) he discovered the Special theory of relativity and then General theory of relativity this unified gravity, space,

Dark matter - Mystery of the cosmos

Image
The cosmos is yet to be uncovered fully, we only know what can be detected by us using our current technology. But as our technology increases we come across more questions, questions like what caused this flaw or is it really a flaw or is that something we missed. That something caused anomalies in the orbit of mercury some say it is due to our incomplete understanding of gravity but over observations we couldn’t say it is solely due to our incomplete understanding of gravity. When you see a photo of Dubai with its skyscrapers at night you will only see spots of light on the skyscrapers, you couldn’t see whole buil dings  but in the morning you would see the structure the same way we got to know something else is there in the cosmos which we couldn’t detect as in the night sky. We say dark as we don’t know what it is but we yet know it was there and it is everywhere, it would even be

Unraveling the mystery objects of the universe :Nuetron stars

Image
Introduction.  Unraveling the mystery object As we all know the universe has a lot of mysteries of which nuetron star is one and is useful in understanding the fundamental physics governing our universe. Binary nuetron star   systems help us to confirm the existence of gravitational   waves .   “The cosmos provides the only laboratory where sufficiently extreme conditions are ever achieved to test new ideas of particle physics.. By studying nuetron stars we are in effect learning something about fundamental physics” – Sir Martin Rees   a British cosmologist stated on nuetron stars. A nuetron star. Image credit:Newatlas.com Nuetron star is the collapsed core of a super massive giant star having a total mass of 10 – 25 solar masses and if metal rich the mass would be high. Nuetron stars have a radius of the order of 20 kilometers with a mass of about 1.4 solar masses. Nuetron stars are formed from the supernovae explosion of a star of large mass, combined with gravitational collapse. Nue
